Chocolate Almond Raisin Granola Bars


Finally, after doing a lot of research, I've combined several recipes & techniques together to create the perfect crumble free granola bar! 

Homemade granola bars are the best. And best of all, you know there's no preservatives or other unknown chemicals and additives in it! It tastes way better than store brought and is also cheaper!






This classic almond raisin granola bars sweetened with all natural honey & brown sugar is perfect for breakfast or a light snack!

INGREDIENTS

1 3/4 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. oat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c.brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c. honey or maple syrup


DIRECTIONS

1. Line a 8 x 8 square pan with parchment paper with the side hanging off the sides like a "sling".

2. Toss together rolled oats, oat flour, salt, ground cinnamon, raisins, almonds, and chocolate chips in one bowl until evenly distributed.

3. In a small pot, melt butter, honey and brown sugar together over medium high heat until it comes to a bubble. Reduce the heat and cook 2 minutes. Pour in vanilla and stir.

4. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture & stir to coat well.

5. Press firmly into pan in an even layer. 

6. Bake at 300F for 15 minutes. (over baking can lead to crumbly bars!)

7. Refrigerate for 2 hours & cut with a serrated knife.
