INGREDIENTS
- 2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 c.+ 2 Tbsp buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 5 Tbsp seedless raspberry jam
(or any other jam you'd prefer) - 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp cream or milk or half/half
- Fresh raspberries, optional
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 325°. Grease donut pans.
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and melted butter. Stir well.
- Fill each donut well about 3/4 full.
- Bake 10-11 minutes. Cool before adding glaze.
- Microwave cream cheese for 15 seconds to soften.
- Add jam/fruit spread, beat together until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and cream, mix well.
- Glaze cooled donuts, garnish with fresh fruit/raspberries, if desired.
